The CINNAMON Training School, organised in collaboration with the T2EVOLVE Association, will take place on 21-22 September 2026 at the Rudolf Virchow Center (RVZ) in Würzburg, Germany. The event will bring together more than 40 trainees and 9 expert trainers for two intensive days dedicated to the translation of advanced cell therapies from research to clinical practice.
Under the theme “From Bench to Bedside: Translating CAR-T and Cell-Based Immunotherapies”, the training school will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the full translational pathway of advanced therapies, from the identification of unmet clinical needs and target discovery, through preclinical development and regulatory requirements, to clinical trial design and data-driven innovation.
The programme combines lectures from internationally recognised experts with interactive sessions designed to foster critical thinking and multidisciplinary collaboration. During the first day, participants will explore how innovative therapies are conceived and developed, covering topics such as therapeutic target selection, engineering next-generation cell therapies, preclinical models, and the generation of evidence required to support clinical translation. An interactive workshop will challenge trainees to address real-life translational decision-making scenarios faced by scientists, clinicians, manufacturers, regulators, and patients.
The second day will focus on clinical development and learning healthcare systems. Sessions will address the design of early-phase cell therapy trials, the development of successful translational programmes, harmonised immunomonitoring approaches, and the use of artificial intelligence and integrated datasets to improve patient outcomes.
The training school aims to equip the next generation of researchers and clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to accelerate the development of innovative cellular immunotherapies and ensure their successful implementation for patients across Europe.
